Update: The hit-and-run reported by a man who claimed he was struck and dragged 15-feet by a Chevy sedan has been found to be staged incident, reports the Manassas Patch.
Danys Alexander Guevara, 21, of Woodbridge, VA apparently staged the event with his friend, who was driving the vehicle when Guevara jumped onto the hood as it drove by. Guevara was apparently run over by the vehicle after he was hit. He then filed a false police report to Prince William County police, and is currently wanted on that charge.
Guevara’s friend, 21-year-old David Israel Arroyo-Aleaga, also of Woodbridge, has been charged with filing a false police report and reckless driving.
Police are unsure as to why Guevara staged the event and filed a false hit-and-run report.
Arroyo-Aleaga has a court date scheduled for Sept. 3.

Orignial Story:
A black sedan struck a man in Prince William County on the evening of Tuesday, July 16 and dragged him for about 15 feet before speeding away from the accident, reports the Woodbridge Patch.
The victim, a 21-year-old Woodbridge resident, was walking near Walnut Street and Colchester Road at 10:12 p.m. on Tuesday night when he was hit by a black Chevy sedan traveling at a high speed. The vehicle then went in reverse, navigated around the victim, and drove through a red light at Walnut Street and Colchester Road to flee the scene.
The pedestrian suffered non-life-threatening injuries in the hit-and-run collision and was transported to the hospital to receive treatment. Police are now looking for the driver of the black, newer-version Chevy (possibly an Impala), with tinted windows and a dark grey license plate cover. The vehicle most likely had damage done to its front end or grill.
