Manhattan Group LLC, of Minneapolis, Minn., has issued a recall of around 3000 of their Whoozit® Starry Time Rattles due to a tendency for the clear sphere on each end of the rattle to burst, releasing small parts that can serve as choking hazards for small children, reports the PRNewswire.
Manhattan Group has received word of two cases where the rattle’s sphere has broken, but no injuries were caused by the incidents.
The rattle has been sold in specialty toy and baby stores nationwide, and online at www.manhattantoy.com, between September 2011 and March 2012.
If you have purchased a Whoozit® Starry Time Rattle, take it away from your child immediately and return it to the store from which you purchased it for a full refund.
