A number of Toro® Z Master® Riding Mowers have been recalled because of a design flaw that can pose a fire risk, reports PRNewswire.
Around 3,700 mowers, manufactured by The Toro Co., of Bloomington, Minn., and sold at Toro dealers across the U.S. between January 2012 and April 2013 for prices ranging from $7,700 to $8,700, have been recalled because the idler pulley can rub against the mower’s fuel tank and cause a fire hazard.
The recall involves red and black Toro Z Master Commercial 2000 Series ZRT 2012 and 2013 riding mowers.
There have been six reports of fires so far from the use of the defective mowers, but no one has been injured. If you own one of these Toro® Z Master® Riding Mowers, you should stop its use immediately and contact a Toro dealer for a free repair and safety check.
