Safeway has issued a voluntary recall of six of their Angel Food Cake products because of undeclared allergens in the forms of milk and soy, reports the Food and Drug Administration.
Safeway says that those who suffer from milk or soy allergies and come into contact with their Angel Food Cake products could experience serious or life-threatening allergic reactions.
The Angel Food Cake products, sold at Safeway, Carrs, Dominick’s, Genuardi’s, Pak ‘N Save, Pavilions, Randalls, Tom Thumb and Vons stores across the United States, include Angel Food Cake, Holiday Decorated Angel Food Cake, Angled Food Cups 4 Count, Cake Angel Food Loaf, Angel Food Cake Loaf 2 CT, and Angel Food Cake Fruit Topped. The FDA has not received any reports of injuries of illnesses connected to the recalled products, but customers are encouraged to either discard the product or return it to their local store to receive a complete refund.
