Prince William County, V.A. – Mar. 28 – Prince William police responded to three critical car collisions and a suicide attempt off a bridge within the span of one hour on Wednesday evening.
The first accident occurred at approximately 6:00 p.m. on VA 28 near Fitzwater Drive in Nokesville, when a waste management truck overturned on its side and blocked oncoming traffic. According to the official police report, no one was injured.
Several minutes later, local police received a report that an unidentified person hurdled from an overpass between Lucasville Road and Prince William Parkway in the Manassas area. Once police arrived to the scene, the overpass was subsequently closed, and the victim was transported by helicopter to a trauma center nearby where the person is expected to make a full recovery.
Around the same time, an accident took place on Joplin Road in the Independent Hill area which ultimately closed the two-lane road. As of press time, it was unconfirmed whether any injuries or fatalities occurred.
Furthermore, a silver Honda flipped on the parkway near VA 234, although no serious injuries took place.
