Richmond, VA – May 17 – After being involved in a life-threatening hit-and-run accident, a nine-year-old boy has had to relearn basic human activities.
According to official reports by NBC12.com, Desi Arnaz Thompson almost died in the accident that took place on Midlothian Turnpike last October.
Since the incident, he fell into a coma and it was determined that he suffered brain injuries from the accident.
Little Desi had to relearn how to walk, talk and eat again. His mother said he went from being an honor roll student to a special ed student and that learning to walk again has been extremely challenging.
Officials said the driver from the accident has still not been caught. Police urge anyone with information regarding the incident to call Crime Stoppers at 780-1000.
