Fairfax County, VA – May 7 – Police have charged a woman with felony hit-and-run following a fatal accident that left one person dead.
According to The Washington Post, the accident occurred on Friday, May 4, when an outbreak of road rage escalated to death.
Gloria McMillan, 32, and Shelinda Arrington, 21, were involved in a verbal altercation while driving in the Alexandria area of Fairfax.
Police believe McMillan crushed Arrington after she exited her vehicle. They found Arrington lying fatally injured on Harrison Lane, but McMillan was not at the scene of the accident.
Officials searched for McMillan’s dark-colored sport-utility vehicle and found it in Southwest Washington with the help of D.C. police.
McMillan surrendered Monday night around 7:30 p.m. at the Mount Vernon district police station.
Police have determined that she did not know Arrington prior to the incident.
