A voluntary recall is underway for a brand of boxed pasta mixes due to the possibility of metal fragments in the seasoning blend, according to the U.S. Food and Drug Administration.
Bay Valley Foods issued the recall of around 74,000 cases of its boxed pasta, manufactured by the subsidiary ST Specialty Food, Inc., after it was found that the seasoning blend, made by Kerry Ingredients & Flavors, used lactic acid that may have had small pieces of metal in it.
