Honda has issued a voluntary recall of all their luxury line Acura 2007 and 2008 TL sedans because of the possibility of a fluid leak due to defective power steering hoses that have a tendency to wear down, reports Auto World News.
The recall affects 52, 615 Acura cars in the United States.
Honda says that the power steering hoses can deteriorate with time, causing power steering fluid to leak and potentially leading to the absence of power steering assistance, along with smoke or fire.
To date, no accidents or injuries have been reported as a result of the defective power steering hoses.
Acura urges owners of the 2007 and 2008 TL sedans to bring in their vehicles to an authorized dealer as soon as they obtain mailed notification of the recall from the automaker.
