Maria joined our firm in November 2023, bringing over eight years of diverse experience in the
bankruptcy sector, where she handled both Chapter 7 and Chapter 13 cases. She worked on
pre-petition and post-petition tasks, maintaining close communication with Trustees, attorneys,
and the Court. During this time, Maria also collaborated with the software development team
for case management systems, ultimately coordinating efforts to enhance these systems. Her
legal expertise allowed her to bridge the gap between web developers and attorneys, ensuring
improvements that benefited both sides.
With a degree in Psychology, she excels in empathy and adaptability, comfortably engaging
with professionals and clients across diverse fields. In addition to her legal background, Maria is
highly adept at working with technology, whether learning new software, working paper-free in
cloud-based environments, or using various digital tools. She embraces new gadgets and
technologies with ease, including tools like AI, always ready to adapt and explore innovative
solutions.
Outside of work, Maria enjoys reading, watching TV shows, live music, proofreading, and
translating between English and Spanish. She has a strong attention to detail, especially with
grammar. She speaks a little French and is keen to continue studying the language.
Though a bit introverted, Maria values meaningful connections and supporting others,
especially her friends in creative fields. She also loves traveling, relaxing with her cats, and
always appreciates a good cup of coffee (without sugar, of course).
Excited for new challenges, Maria views this role in personal injury law as a great opportunity
for growth, but most importantly, as a unique way to help individuals going through challenging
moments in their lives. For her, this area of law is not just about resolving claims but also about
making a positive impact by advocating for people who need it most. She is committed to
making sure each client feels heard and understood, seeing this work as an extension of her
dedication to helping others.
