Manassas, V.A. – Mar. 14 – The Manassas Police Department is searching for a man who allegedly ran away from an accident site last Saturday evening.
The victim, an unidentified man, claimed he was sitting at a red light near Signal Hill Road and Oakenshaw Drive at 5:45 p.m. when his 2005 Toyota was struck by a man driving a red Honda Civic. According to Manassas police officer Sgt. Eddie Rivera, the crash resulted in $1,600 worth of damage. It is unknown if the victim sustained any physical injuries as the result of the collision.
The official police report concluded that the passenger in the Honda exited the vehicle before the driver drove away. A short time thereafter, officers captured the passenger, whose name was not released to the press.
Police didn’t disclose whether the passenger will face any charges.
Police are certain that the driver, an African American male, is approximately 5-foot-6 inches to 5-foot-7-inches toll with a short afro-style haircut. Furthermore, his name may be Jason.
The crash is still under official police investigation.
