McLean, Virginia Man Pronounced Dead In Fatal New York Car Accident

East Hampton, NY – July 30 – A resident from McLean, Virginia was killed Sunday afternoon in a fatal two-vehicle crash.

According to official reports by nbcnewyork.com, the accident resulted when a man driving a pickup truck veered into the oncoming lanes of Route 114.

Brian Midgett Jr. was operating the pickup truck involved in the collision. He crashed head-on into a car driven by Douglas Schneiderman, 51.

Schneiderman was pronounced dead at the scene of the accident. His wife and 16-year-old daughter were taken to Southampton Hospital for treatment of serious injuries.

Midgett was transported to Stony Brook University Hospital and listed in serious condition.

No charges have been filed. Police are continuing investigations at this time.
